For your speculation to have any probability, there must be some underlying 'force' that connects all these fairly simple (allegedly) components - chicks, machine, number generator, non-visual barrier, experiment location, observers, entity developing the question in hand, chicks being actually birthed from egg via impregnated hens, and much more.
All these phenomena also occur on a physical planet in a solar system with components held in orbits by a single star that releases all kinds of energetic phenomena into its solar reach outwards to hundreds of millions of miles. We can stop there, just to keep things 'simple.'
Why separate biotic things, with so-called minds, inside or near so-called brains, from the non-biotic things we call physical matter, or more obviously, photonic and particulate matter that emanates from said star (the Sun)? You have introduced to us PUC, and here you mention QM as a speculative but arguable energetic, and its companions QF and QE.
What phenomena shapes what other phenomena? Chcken or egg, to abuse a metaphor? Now birds do behave as both young or rescued biota as if they imprint on some friendly figure that nurtures them. In this experiment, they even imprint (allegedly) on an object that has only the most fundamental conditions for friendliness - a mechanized robot that has within it some energetic force that can cause it to move toward or away from chicks. Would the chicks imprint on it IF it never moved? If it was just sitting there when they were introduced to its physical presence?
Now throw in things like probabilities, entropy, uncertainty, dissolution of some existing norm, its change into some other 'new' norm via some other energetic force, such as creation, either via DNA or techo-invention created by a human. All that I mention are subject to energetics, so it seems to me that 'energetics' is a very massive phenomen-on (a) worthy of some contemplation.
Now if this experiment has any probability of being worthy of study, what would be used for comparison - thesis, antithesis, synthesis - if not the presence of a real mother chicken, or even a nurse chicken hen? One way energy presents itself is yin/yang/Tao. What is cold without hot? Or fear without security? Or love without indifference?
If humans find themselves wandering constantly into states of entropy, versus states of security and bliss, or even just calm, what potential outcomes might exist? It is more than obvious to me, a literal nobody of a scientist, that QF supports the energetic entropy (change) (evolution) of QE, where no separations exist. Only the existence of chaos defines the existence of nurture and Nature.
